“Ships at a distance have every man’s wish on board. For some they come in with the tide. For others they sail forever on the horizon, never out of sight, never landing until the Watcher turns his eyes away in resignation, his dreams mocked to death by Time. That is the life of men.”
Zora Neale Hurston
hi. i have no idea who you are (yes, the feelings are mutual im sure), but i received a link to your blog from a friend of mine who was raving about your entries(yes, in a positive way). I was compelled to leave a comment because your posts had me laughing out-loud at the Starbucks im studying at.
Please keep blogging away about your traveling adventures/conversations with parents. your stories are definitely a great reprieve from the tiresome information im reading.
p.s i hope for a similar “desire” when i’m traveling–that possibly i’ll sit next to an interesting character/good-looking guy who will make my travels far more pleasant than i’ve expected. haha. good to hear im not the only one with such daydreams
You’re an absolutely incredible writer my friend; I’m proud to be associated with you (no matter how remotely!). If you would undertake to teach me (as daunting a task as that would be) then you can consider that your “good deed” for all time and be sure to get a ticket to Heaven thereby! How about it?
